I drew this piece because I found the character, Von Twirlenkiller (from the videogame Madworld) interesting. He has jet turbines for hands, and can summon twisters to hurl large objects at his foes.
Outcomes that I achieved: Appreciate range and potential of media for visual expression of ideas. [I tried using the comic book style of drawing for this piece. I like the way that it came out, and I feel that I captured the 'shine' effect.] Awareness of the cultural roles of art, the artist, and the viewer. [The game Madworld uses a comicbook style, which is a great interest to me.]
